Create and Edit Interactive Videos

For this project, you will use YouTube to edit a video and use end screens to create an interactive video.
  1. Create a screen recording simulation of how to do a task on a Google App of your choice. Pick something simple so it doesn't take too much time to record. Something that takes 3 steps is ideal.
  2. Write down the steps so you know what you need to do. Then create a video for each step.
  3. Much like the Choose Your Own Adventure story, create a choice with 2 options (e.g. To insert a new slide, should you click File or the + button?).
  4. Then create a video for each option. One should be correct and one should be wrong.
  5. The correct video should say the viewer is correct and continue to the next step. The wrong video should explain why the viewer is wrong and direct them to the correct video.
  6. Repeat this for each of the 3 steps.
  7. The last correct option video should say "Congratulations, you have completed the task!".
  8. Edit your videos so that they are free from mistakes or unnecessary pauses - keep in mind your videos need to be at least 30 seconds each to use the end screen feature! Pausing or empty space at the end of the video where the end screen will go is OK.
  9. Once you have created all of your videos (7 in total if you do 3 steps), connect your videos using the end screen feature in the YouTube Editor. For the first video, you should choose the end screen with 2 video options (1 for the correct answer and the other for the wrong answer video). For the incorrect video option, select an end screen with a single video that leads to the correct answer video. For the correct video option, use the 2 video end screen and link to the next two videos (correct and incorrect). Repeat this until you get to the final video.
  10. On the last video (congratulations video) add an end screen which links to 2 additional videos that are relevant to your topic (these don't have to be videos you create - it can be another person's video that expands on the topic you covered).
  11. Create a new blog post for YouTube and embed the first video in your video series and write a brief description of what the video is and how it works.
Then comment below with the link to your blog post AND provide a short description of what your video series is about.
